Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress as well as a performer. She is a Michigan native who was born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen was born in Michigan's Huntington Woods with the family of a Polish mother and a father that is German, English Irish, Scottish and Irish. Kristen was already a talented performer from a young age. In 1992, she attended her first audition. The audition was for an appearance on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell aged 13 when her mother signed up for an agent, was also auditioned for ads on newspapers and TV. She also started taking private acting classes around that time. Bell was in a role of minor importance, uncredited in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in drama and music club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in the school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater within New York City. Bell quit university in 2001 to take on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credits in Pootie Tang in 2001. Her scene, however it was cut and her appearance only appears in the credits at the end. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
